ok its been a bit since I was on & updated you all that commented honestly for me...thank you all for your words...some were painful to read but I do understand where you were coming from...
now with me...i am moving to upper NY to a farmhouse owned by a dear friend of mine who will eventually retire there but for now they need someone there to watch over the place & I can have all of my chickens with me!
One of the dear hens emailed me today & asked me what I truly wanted...& to be honest I just don't know...for me 22 yrs+ is a hard thing to just throw away so my heart & mind say this is the best I can come up with at the moment......I know many of you are worried I will be kicked real hard by this & I am prepared for that...I may lose more than just a marriage by my actions & to be honest if that happens I am alright with that.....
My hubby left sunday for 6 week class in Georgia & never ever said a word of what is going on so he still knows that I will be leaving by the end of Sept...we will see if he speaks up as I load the truck...or if he just lets me go without a word...
No matter what I am doing this also so I can be of a help to Mary whose farm I am going to...she is my age, tired & has too much on her plate at all times so this will give my heart a good feeling knowing I can help her while I help myself with my worries.
my 2 sis's are coming for a week in early Sept & we are canning & drying foods for me to take since I am a big veggie/fruit eater.....plus I know they will be good for me to have here during that week since Thomas will be home 2 days before they leave.....Not that he is going to do anything stupid or mean while they are here.....

anyway just wanted to let you all know I am fine & going thur things & will soon have farm/simply life/gardening/herbal books up for barter...lol...didn't realize I had so many!....Michele'

Thanks for the update Michele! I am glad to hear that you sound "prepared" for whatever comes your way. I totally understand what you are saying, regarding not wanting to just throw away 22+ years of marriage. That is totally understandable. Only time will tell what happens. The fact that you are ok with whatever comes your way will help you and guide you through this difficult process. Prayers going out to you for strength and wisdom.
Hugs,

Actually, you will be alright. I had something similar happen to me, years ago, and truly I still don't regret it. I did what was right for me and it still feels okay. Sometimes, you just have to do whatever and not worry about legal this or legal that. He may be so relieved that he just fades away. I didn't even really hurt, so great was getting the pressure off, still haven't hurt after all these years either. Matter of fact, I barely remember my ex at times, like he's not even real. Then, I found my hubby when I wasn't looking for anyone and for the most part, he's the light of my life. (See other posts!!)

You'll be fine!! Guranteed!!

Michele, I am so sorry that you are having this struggle. I am also so very impressed with the strength and grace that you are showing. Take care of yourself, let those that want to help you help, keep praying that God will show you the path. If I can ever do anything to help along your way please let me know.

Michele, you are not alone. There are others of us who have had to make this change as well, even after 20 years. Yes, it is hard, but it is sometimes necessary. Hold your head up and be strengthened for the life ahead.

Life's too short to sit in a box all day. Get out and do something creative.

I made my choice to divorce in the late 90's & was nearly married for 5 yrs-and I've never regretted leaving. I should've known better than to be with someone who got roses at 7-11 for 99¢! You will go thru different phases but you will be allright. You'll be getting to know yourself all over again.

Michelle,
Sounds like you found the perfect place to re-gain your self. Sometimes you need to walk away from a situation for awhile. I with all the best to you no matter what happens.

I am trying to be the person my dogs think I am.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
