My son and his girlfriend just successfully sailed from Wrangell Alaska to Port Townsend Wa in his 29 foot sailboat. What's really amazing that about 2 1/2 years ago he did this trip by himself!

Awsome! I grew up learning how to sail. Dad always had a sail boat of some kind. He had to give it up a few years ago when he was 82. Laurie
My congrats to them! My hubby would be soooo happy doing that! Me? . . . never in a million years! I'm not a water or boating person! But I admire those who do it! CJ

Alee they did see lots of wildlife-- whales and grizzlys etc and the most beautiful scenery you can imagine. They even had to get towed by the friendly Canadian Coast Guard when their engine died (no wind at that time to to sail). They had to spend a few days waiting for the part to come in by float plane to a remote Native village.
