Shirley, that's too cute--and it reminds me of when I first moved to the area, there was a man who was mentally challenged, who walked a pram every evening up and down the neighborhood streets with 4 Pug dogs inside. EVERY night! It was the sweetest thing I've ever seen and I worried so much about him--hoped that noone shouted horrible things at him because it was the utmost picture of innocence to me.

Violet does love it--she keeps pointing to it in the study and says, "that for me and my dollies?"

Boy that was a good find and in such good shape too.
I like those kind of deals.

The buggy is so cool. My sister and I shared one for our children. My youngest was born in August. It was so hot that summer and all fall. I put my baby in the buggy, covered it with a mosquito netting and could take her outside when I was working. She was so comfortable, and cooler than an infant seat of stoller. I used it when we went to town until she 8 or 9 months old, she never tried to get out of it. One day we were shopping in a fabric store, I was pulling it behind me. I heard a noise and my daughter was pulling bolts of fabric off the shelf and into the buggy. I had to go to a stoller after that.

I think your idea of using your buggy for dolls and toys is a great one. My sister still has ours, maybe her granddaughter can put her toys in it.

Greetings from the morning side of the hill.

Jonni,

What a find! Those are so expensive in stores, even when they are "retired" from baby use. I can't believe you didn't grab it at first sight! And may I ask, when did little Violet grow so tall? She is just adorable!

Nicole--I know, she's shot up like a weed this year--all of the 3T shorts that I bought her at the beginning of the season are now a little "short short", but she's still a string bean, so 4T's are just too darn big in the waist! People think she's much older than she is becuase she's so tall and soooooo verbal!!!

I really did want to grab it, but in the past, I've been a little bit "over productive" in my salvage efforts and we've run out of space for things that I thought we would use, but never did. So, even though I did want it, I really challenged myself to think of a way to use it. When my husband said, "hey, do you want that!?" I knew it was meant to be :)

I'm really excited about using it for her dolls and animals. We have a flock of them, and it can be conveniently moved to other parts of her room more easily than the big baskets o' animals that are currently in service. I also had thought about those hammocks, that hang from the ceiling, but how would she get to them (she plays with at least 3-4 of them, different ones, each and every day) and also, they only come in really bright colors (at least the ones I've seen) and that's not what her room is like.
