Jim walked down the driveway to get the newspaper out of our box and found our neighbor's calf had gotten loose and was eating our newspaper.

JoAnn, That had to have been a funny sight to see. Glad your husband caught him in the act otherwise you would have been racking your brains trying to figure out what happened and it gave you a good story to tell!

I think the calf did eat half the paper--we can't find the front page or Northwest section! I think he should have one big stomach ache!

Just a fact...an average number of weird stuff found in cow's stomachs is 8. They eat trash that people throw out off the road. Alarm clocks have been found in cow's stomachs. They will swallow the twine off the hay if one isn't careful. I had a fun time pulling a piece of twine out of my father's Santa Gertrudes bull's throat one time. Cows, If they can't tear it up or eat it they will poop on it.
Such cute pun ladies, so funny, and a gang of wild chickens. LOL.

Sounds like the calf wasn't any more impressed by the news than I have been. Silly critter should learn to read (the calf, I can read jut fine).

A hook, a book, and a good cup of coffee....
