I bought these little finger bowls today. The three dishes were made by the Porsgrund porcelain company and are called "The Old Story." The first shows a couple like Adam and Eve, complete with apple tree and snake. Next the couple have a small child, a house, and a cat. Finally, the couple is older and joined by their children and grandchildren. The dishes were designed by Anne Marie Odegaard and Konrad Galaaen and are glazed in a flow-blue-like glaze. Apparently the three dishes were sold together in a box with a short poem called "The Old Story."
Does ANYONE know where I can find this poem? I would love to be able to read it. I have searched and searched on line with no luck. If you know it please respond. I'd really appreciate knowing more about these little bowls.
Talk to me ladies....

What a really cool find! I don't know anything about them, but just from what I could find on the internet it sounds like each dish has a poem?? Don't know how accurate it is, but this was what I found and the link......
The first is: Modern Adam, modern Eve, Seventeen, they'll never grieve, Age of luck an love forever Growing older? Never, never. The second is: Modern Adam, modern Eve, Life has pretty much to give, Making children, home, career, Getting richer year by year. The third is: Poor old Adam, poor old Eve, Soon they must prepare to leave, Leaving proudly to their nation, a large increase in population.

Thank you Emily! I checked out the link and you are right that must be the poem!
I have them listed in my Etsy shop as of today www.longtallsallys.etsy.com
The mark on the back indicates they were made in 1967 and are marked Porsgrund Norway...I just think they are the cutest things....
