Anyone been? We're traveling down to the Creation Museum and thought we'd surprise our horse loving girls with a side trip to the Kentucky Horse Park. Seems that have a whole lot going on there. Any suggestions?

I've never been, but my horse-lovin' best friend has and said it's definitely worth the trip. :)

Yep, it's worth the trip. We even went on a trail ride. The museum is fabulous and inspiring. A cute gift shop, too. You get to see burial spots of legendary horses and even the length of Secretariat's stride compared to a 'normal' TB.

Go, enjoy!!

As a Kentucky girl born and bred, I love the Horse Park! It would be a great side trip for the girls, and Lexington is just gorgeous. Winona sums it up nicely--the girls will be awe inspired, I know I am, each and every time, and my dad was a jockey, so I grew up "in the industry" and am STILL amazed by it!

My DH is from Nicholasville, just outside (well, now nearly merging with) Lexington. We've visited a couple his home area a couple of times, but STILL have not managed to get to the Horse Park! MUST GO!!

I've only been there for the Christmas Lights and petting zoo. It was lots of fun and I even rode a camel. LOL I do want to go for the other fun though.
