For the second time this week, I've had to clean up after mice in my kitchen drawers. We caught one in a trap last
night and they've enjoyed the Decon buffet. Wish they'd make their winter homes elsewhere. (

Ugh I know what you mean. I discovered them in my storage room; and they had chewed up the mink collars on a couple of my vintage 1950s swing coats that I sell on my Etsy.
When I started moving things around, I discovered they'd been into everything, and their little droppings are in/on everything! I am going to have to try and trap them - which I dread.

I don't like mice, especially in my house. A few years back, there was one in my lined trash can. When I opened the drawer to throw some trash, that mice was trying to climb the liner. All I could do was look at it in disgust!!!!! I knotted the liner and threw it outside.
Good luck this winter with the mice.

Mice in the house are an extra chore I can do without. Haven't seen any lately. My cat does a pretty good job but there's nothing worse then having them in the kitchen drawers. Any more I have to check my tea towels and such before I use them to make sure I'm not using a soiled one.

I have been told mice hate peppermint, and it will keep them away, I am going to try peppermint oil on cotton balls and place any place I think they might be. Roxanna

That's why I have cats. They sit and wait for them to come in, and we've had very little in the house this year.

I have a cat too. She's old and does get one now and then and brings to me at
2am. If I were to get another cat she would completely disown me and kill the new cat.

Mint extract around doors and cracks will repel them. We use it at the beginning of every winter at the base of the garage doors and on the wheels of our travel trailer and no mice. I hate them!!!

I've heard that the mint extract works well. One thing I've done is put chocholate on a glue trap. It sounds crazy, but the mice took to it.
