I was out Thrifting and wondered ... where the heck is Nancy-jo ? lol!
Good thing she wasn't around...or she might have beat me to these fun funds! lol!
Just kidding, Nancy...

I luv this sweet 'granny squares' tree skirt.

I also love these ceramic 'lited trees'...with little Lite Brite pegs... The top ornament is missing...I'll figure out something to glue up there.

I spotted this koolieo wine bottle with mini lights in it!
Needless to say, I had a great day Thrifting....

Oh yes I see the old mixer Deborah. Love the thrift store finds. I gave my old mixer to my son and his fiancee. My DH bought me a new kitchen aid last Christmas. I am not crazy about it. I miss my old mixer....It was made so much better to me and much stronger power. But I would never ask them for it back...Hum I wonder if they might do a trade off.

Ok KAT,I was going to go with you, but I figured there would be trouble, so I let you get the good stuff this time. Just glue something cute on the tree top, nice finds.

Almost 44 years ago, I went to Christmas with my hubby, Then boyfriend, to his families christmas. His grandmother had that same tree skirt under her tree, and I fell in love with it. What did I as a 16 year old know??? Married at 17 and then for my second Christmas in the family---she gave me the pattern as a present, I was thrilled, but knew very little crochet, but my mom did. she got me started on the granny squares, and I finished it, and every year, it has been under my tree. I believe this is my 42nd year. I feel it is so special, because I first saw it under his grandparents tree. And as I type this, it is under the tree right now. Thanks for letting me share.

JoAnn, I just reread, the forum again, and saw where you have your moms tree skirt. Oh please don't get rid of it, don't know if your mom is still alive or not, but it would be a great keepsake, made by her hands. Perhaps, use it on the back of the couch, at Christmas, as added color, or on the aback of a rocker, or cover on a coffee table, decorated with Christmas trinkets. I lost my mom 5 years ago, in January, I cherish all her handmade items. If you truly do not want it, then please barter, surely there is a farmgirl who would love it. Huggs! Farmgirl #946 Linda

Your right Linda, I couldn't get rid of it--it does have memories. Mom died a year ago last October. I just hung the log cabin quilt I got when we cleaned out her house. I still have many afgans she crochet for me. I'm not a fan of most crochet but she had one pattern that looked more like knitting or even weaving I liked but she would used many different colors that I didn't care for. One day I said if I bought the yarn would she make them and she did. There a lovely off white color and I have them on two of my couches.
