Thus it begins again.
Winter is ending and I ache to get my hands dirty in my little garden patch. And Springs comes at last, as if I thought it never would come. Time to plant. Waiting, watching, I sit on the ground and as the seedlings break through the soft earth with their first little leaflets. It's like watching creation unfold again and again. I talk to them, sing to them, encourage them, entreat them. They struggle, grow tall and strong, and I marvel at yet another year of renewal. Then, The Harvest, Triumphant Harvest: the culmination of all the Winter dreams for my garden. Finally Autumn. The cooling nights, the clearing of the garden patches. And I glory in another season's fulfillment. It is then that I feel like Young Mother Nature rejoicing in the circle of life. My Garden.
