I just saw the news that a large fertilizer plant in Waco Texas has exploded, destroying homes and buildings, leaving hundreds injured and an unknown number dead. Please see the news channels for the latest updates, but the red cross will possibly be accepting blood and other supplies. I'm going to see if they're accepting blood and donate.

I'm still horrified by the Boston bombings and now this new tragedy a little over 48 hours later.

Prayers for Texas tonight

Oh my gosh, Annika... we just saw it on the news! We missed the details, but the images are beyond words. Our prayers are with all those affected and all those to whom the victims care is entrusted. God be with them. - Nini

This is so sad! My heart goes out to the folks in Waco.

I too saw the news this morning and was shocked. My first thought was for any Farmgirls. I seem to recall a FG from West Texas. I assumed it was a
geographical name, not a town. I so hope I am wrong and send prayers for everyone.

The Explosion news from the town of West, Texas was horrific! My son and family lives about 25 miles south of there and they felt the blast. Such a tragedy.

They are in our prayers and hearts. I cannot imagine what it would be like for the police to request that everyone in the small town of 3000 people should evacuate for their own safety in the dark of the evening right before big thunderstorms were
due to arrive. It is beyond words.

Please, ya'll pray for the families and relatives of the West, TX explosion.
