Hi Farmgirls,
Back by popular demand is the POSTCARD SWAP, this will be our 4th year
In this swap you will select postcards that either:
- represent your STATE or,
- are from one of your favorite VACATION spots.
You will send ONE postcard to EACH person who signs up, and you will receive one postcard from each individual.
IMPORTANT: signing up means that you will need to purchase stamps and postcards and mail to everyone on the list. Last year there were approx. 45 farmgirls who participated.
NOTE: Follow through is vital, please consider carefully before signing up.
Those who have participated in the past have enjoyed receiving these little bits of mail from many, many farmgirls all over the country.
SIGNUPS are open now, will close on MAY 20th.
EMAIL ME YOUR:
- Complete name and complete mailing address
- a correct and complete email address (otherwise you won't get the list)
- your forum name[/purple]
[u][i][size=3]You will have ALL summer to get them ready and in the mail.
MAIL OUT deadline is AUGUST 20th
You can get started by getting your postcards and stamps. You could also put your return address on them, either by writing it on or using labels.
I will compile the mailing list and email it to all of you after the signup period closes.
If you have some photos of your state or vacation spot that you like you can get them made into really nice postcards at postcards.com

I had so much fun the past two years but we have been having MAJOR problems with our mail carrier. . . I had to send a bunch of my postcards out the beginning of Sept. last year and from what I understand a bunch of farm sisters never got mine!! That was a lot of postage gone to waste! Another example is that I sent out some support raising letters and over half of them NEVER got to where they were addressed too! They just disappeared!!! I've been complaining and complaining because people send me stuff and I NEVER get their packages or letters! We can't get a PO box since we will be moving soon but I want to make sure I'm in a totally different area (postal wise anyway) before I commit. I'd love to join but I don't want to waste that much postage and I don't get to town regularly to make sure I can get them out at the actual post office. Thanks for putting this on CJ and if you do it again next year I know for sure I'll be able to join in then! (we will be in an entirely different state by then for sure!) Hope y'all have a great summer! (and sorry to those who were in the swap last year and never got mine, I did my part, too bad the mail didn't do theirs!)
