Hey all, I am thinking I have a stealing snake in my hen house. How do I get rid of the thing? |

make it snake/rodent and varmint proof...use 1/4 in mesh wire, put wire at least 1 ft below dirt level straight down, along with just under dirt level inside and out of pen fenceing, same goes for top, (snakes do climb), block all holes, no matter how small, rodents getting in attract snakes, and when there's an egg avalible, its easier than catching mice etc...
P.S. I know several people over the years who tryed "Snake Away", and said it did NOT work at all, plus the ingrediants are banned in several states...

Hi Connie. I think I have the same problem. Hopefully we will get our new "hen shack" done this weekend and they will finally be up out of the dirt with a wooden floor and solid walls. I hope the sneaky snake doesn't find its way in there!
