~Salt
~Pepper
~Basil
~Thyme
~Cinnamon

Just five?? Sheesh... that's a toughie!
Since Garlic and Onions are vegetables, I'm not going to include them, but they are right up there!
- Basil
- Sage
- Rosemary
- Cinnamon
- Ginger
And of course, there are cloves, allspice, thyme, oregano, and more. I'm just trying to think which ones I use most! I use them all on a regular basis! We don't use a lot of salt at all in our cooking, but we do use pepper... Hmmm... I'm just really grateful I'm not restricted to only five in real life! A "top ten" would've been SO much easier!!! LOL!

I know it's a hard question. If you could see my pantry, I am the Spice Queen :) Note I didn't say 'Spice Girl' otherwise I would be 'Old Spice' 
Nini, Don't forget Coriander and Nutmeg and Cumin and.....:)
Dawn, I have a Saffron Raisin Bread recipe if you would like :) It's really good and makes wonderful French Toast too!
