| Looking for a very moist sweet potatoe recipe, the older the better. My grandfather-in-law (88) has been talking about a recipe his wife used to make that was her mothers. I have been looking on the internet and have tried a couple of recipes, but none are truly moist. I would appreciate any help. |

You might try this one. It has enough fat and sweet potato to make a fairly moist biscuit.
Sweet Potato Biscuits
1-1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1 T. baking powder 1/4 t. cinnamon 1/4 t. salt 1/8 t. nutmeg 1/3 c. butter 1 c. sweet potatoes, peeled, boiled and mashed 1/3 c. plus 1 T. milk, divided Garnish: sugar
Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg in a medium mixing bowl; cut in butter until coarse crumbs form. Set aside. Blend potatoes and 1/3 cup milk together; add to flour mixture. Stir with a fork until just moistened; roll dough out on a lightly floured surface to a 3/4-inch thickness; cut out with a biscuit cutter. Arrange on a greased baking sheet; brush with remaining milk. Sprinkle with sugar; bake at 425 degrees until golden, about 15 to 20 minutes. Makes one dozen.
