This afternoon, after my hubby and I finished stacking and tarping our hay he went to check on our llama, Rocky
He came in the house and told me that Rocky had passed away . . . we aren't sure what happened. My hubby suspects he might have been attacked, perhaps by a mountain lion. (They are here!)
He has lived in a big pen with apple trees just west of our house for over 20 years. He was about 24 years old, and we just enjoyed him as a pet and a very friendly, funny guy. He was mild-mannered, loved to give what we call "butterfly kisses" and just was so curious and interested in everything we were doing!
We are soooo sad! He will be GREATLY missed!!!!

I'm so sorry about Rocky! LLamas are so sweet and almost like dogs. You gave Rocky a good life and I know you'll see him again someday. Hugs.

CJ..I am so sorry to hear about your precious llama. That is so sad to hear, I am sure he will be SO missed. I do agree that you will indeed see him again someday. Sounds like he definitely had the perfect home here on earth with you.

Oh CJ, I am so sorry to hear of Rocky's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Bill. Rocky sure was blessed to have you as his llama mama for so many wonderful years.

Oh CJ, I am so sorry about Rocky. You had him such a very long time and what a sweet looking boy. I know you will miss this sweet boy and to have him so long makes it all the harder. Prayers and hugs to you and yours.

I'm so sorry, CeeJay. He looks like a very sweet guy. I was always afraid of llamas though. And donkeys. But I would have probably like Rocky.

Aw CJ, So sorry to hear about your boy. He looks like a real sweetheart. I am sure he must have given you and your family lots of memories. Hang on to those. Wish I had words to make you feel better but it is hard to lose an animal they are so much a part of our life.

Oh CJ, I am so sorry about Rocky. That is so sad. What a handsome boy he was. I know you will have some great memories of him, 24 years is amazing!

Rocky looks like a sweetheart!! Kisses & all!! We all get sooo attached to our furry family members!
That's VERY scary to have a cat that close to your house! We had 2 cougars here & you always felt like you were being watched! Creepy!! You & Bill keep safe!!!!
