Just wanted to thank everyone for the support and prayers regarding my grandfather over the last year or so. I wanted to let you all know that he passed away Wednesday, March 19. My brother was just 10 minutes away when he passed. My brother and I had been up to see him many times while he was there and lasted visited the Friday before.
He was in the nursing home for just over 3 months. The nurse said he passed peacefully in his sleep.
Although I am deeply saddened, I know he is in a better place and is no longer in pain. He no longer has to worry and fret over the drama that is our family. I hope he and my grandmother found each other quickly and will watch over me and my brother and our families.
Thanks again for all the support, prayers and advice you gave me. It means a lot.

I was talking to an older cousin at the funeral home. She told me that not too long ago she had been out to visit Grandpa. She brought her camera along because she likes to take pictures. She said that Grandpa was sitting with his hands crossed and the light was hitting the just right so she snapped a photo. She said she would send a copy to me and my brother. My brother got them both in the mail today and said when he opened the envelope he cried. That says a lot because he doesn't cry. I can hardly wait to receive my copy. I am going to have it enlarged and hang it in my living room.
