For this second giveaway, I knitted a pair of socks in a few of the Jubilee colors. I used a yarn that is 55% Merino wool and 12% cashmere. It is very soft and warm. The size would fit anyone with a shoe size 7-9. These socks are a bit thick and would go great is boots, clogs or other slip on shoes. They would be perfect for those chilly early mornings while Glamping!!

Here is a glimpse of the socks:

If you would like to enter this giveaway, just leave me a comment below and tell me one new Farmgirl lesson you learned this past year that made a difference. It could be a sewing project, gardening tip, animal tip....

Entires go through May 2 and I will select a winner on Sunday May 3

Congratulations AFinkberry!! Ally, please send me your mailing address and I will get your Jubilee socks to you as soon as I return after May 7. I hope you have been having a wonderful Jubilee weekend!! [b]

Hi Winnie, your socks are precious, and since my feet are always cold I want to join in on the fun, and hopefully keep my feet warm.

I had done a little drying before I came to the Farm. I have learned much from the other FarmGirls that are into drying. Now if it doesn't move I will probably try to dry it.

Have a blessed day, Sara

Enter me as well, please. The biggest things I have learned this year revolve around critters. For example, I learned the other day that alpacas are social animals and you really need a least 4...

Please enter me Winnie :)The socks look beautiful!

I have learned so much since becoming a farmgirl. One of the things that I have learned is the importance of keeping Heirloom Produce and Heritage Breeds going. We raise Large Black Hogs and are so happy to be able to take part in reviving their breed as well as introducing Heirloom Veggies, etc to the garden.

Please enter me.

When I saw the clothes pin apron with the jeans back pockets on the front, I knew what I would do with all those pants I have which are to be scavenged and reclaimed. Excellent!

I love the socks!

One farmgirl lesson I have learned this year is a mix of things together in one. Don't give up, patience and care will get you there, and your best is good enough.

Please enter me in this drawing. Those socks look perfect for wearing with my boots!

One lesson I learned this year concerns the safety of our chickens. Never let them free range in the early morning as that is when Mr. Fox is out looking for his breakfast. We are diligent to lock the girls in at night and let them out in the afternoon when the night predators are sleeping. We are also better at keeping an eye on them. Thinking about getting a chicken tractor.

I luv hand knitted socks!

please do enter my name..

as far as a Farm girl lesson? only one??? lol!
I have learned that we are all different, and need to remember that... to be respectful, kind and patient with each other...

I have learned so many, too many to post here, Tips... But I have currently become addicted to Banners and clothes pin aprons lately,,, hmmm, wonder why.

Oh well... I just so appreciate all that my 'farm girl' sisters have shared here with all of us.

One thing I was determined to learn was tatting. I learned needle tatting. That was one thing my mother and grandmother could never quite get the hang of to show me how. I did learn and made a 3 foot long piece in varigated thread. I plan to use the piece to edge a pillowcase with. It has encouraged me to try more new things!

Please count me in on the drawing.

I got a recipe for homemade laundry soap from another farmgirl in a swap. I have made the soap and use it every day. I love the fresh scent. This has started me on my road to using all natural products.

Winnie please enter me in the give away, the socks sound great. What farmgirl thing I have learned this year or should I say it dawned on me this year is that after living in the country for over 22 years my husband was right when he said 22 years ago you will like the smells from the country better then the smells from the city even the manure smells. I swore I would not but I learned he was right I rather smell the manure than sewage smell in the city. I rather smell the hay cut, or the laundry drying on the clothes line, I rather smell the country smells!

Oh Winnie please enter me. I love the socks and thank you for the generosity of the giveaway. As a Farmgirl I truly learn something almost everyday. It is amazing. I have learned generosity from the swaps. I learned an important tip from one of the girls. That tip was that it's ok to let go of a craft project you started but didn't finish. Make a decision to finish it or pass it on. Sounds silly but that was a huge cleansing moment for me. Thanks to all for being here for one another. Maryellen
