We are going to the Twin Cities thus afternoon instead of tomorrow morning. They thought she was suffering from Vertigo, but have ruled it out. MIL and FIL were here this past weekend and she was not feeling well. Dizzy and nauseated. She can directly point to a spot where it hurts, which is concerning my FIL. We will visit her tonight and tomorrow. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers to the God/dess of your choice. Thanks!

Only one God of my choice and I am praying to Him for her and your family as well. At Thanksgiving it seems we are all much more in-tune to what really matters and that is probably really heightened for you right now. So give and accept many extra hugs. Having loved ones during these hard times is so important. Praying only the best for her. Keep us posted.

Thanks all!
She got out on Turkey Day. We saw her after dinner at their house. They ruled out Vertigo and said it was something viral. SHe is on a plethora of meds (which is normal for her-totally another story) and is at home restricted from driving. They said it oculd last a mere days to months....we'll see.
On another note: it is 12:30 am and we just got home from the ER. WE took Zoe in because she wasn't breathing normally, very shallow and labored. They Nebbed her and gave her some cortizone. She is 10 times better now, but had us wooried for sure. Rob and I both know a thing or two about late night ER visits with asthma...as children and adults. My poor babe.

Oh, Tasha! I'm so glad that you are all home an feeling better. It's so scary sometimes with little ones, isn't it? I've had my share of ER visits with my 3-year-old, and each time, it might as well have been me. SOOooooo scary. I'm relieved to hear that you are all home and feeling better.
I'm also glad for the news about your MIL. Viruses can do such weird things - I hope she's on the "days" to get better plan instead of the "months!"

Tasha..I have asthma, and so do two of my girls...do you own a nebulizer? This has saved us many a late night trips to the ER.
I am glad everyone is home, safe and sound...

Tasha, hope things have settled down at your house. How scarey for you with Zoe. I don't know about asthma but I know about children and ER visits, have made a few. It's always harder on the moms than the little ones I think.

Tasha I'm so sorry that I missed out on this thread earlier. What a whirlwind of medical emergencies you've had! I hope your mom-in-law is doing better by now and am so glad to hear that Zoe is on the mend too. We had a full-day trip to the ER about two weeks ago for Jackson for a stomach bug that ended up in severe dehydration and hypoglycemia. It's awful to see your baby hooked up to stuff in the hospital...and not moving. I so feel for you. Sending positive vibes your way!

Gosh, Tasha...such a rough time you've had! I think I'm familiar with the viral thing they diagnosed your MIL with...I got it sometime just before Christmas day past, and missed Christmas and New Year entirely--I literally felt like I was seasick and drunk at the same time. Spinning and weaving and nauseous. It took me about 4 months to completely be able to lie down at night without feeling like the world was spinning. Our law clerk contracted it sometime this summer, and still has the vertigo--he walks somewhat sideways and has taken to using the walls as guidelines--he's an incredibly healthy college football player! So, I really wish your MIL much luck and a speedy recovery. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.
Also wishing you much rest and peace with the little one and her asthma. It's terrible to see them suffer through those attacks. Our friends have a little boy, 18 mos., and he has to do nightly breathing treatments for his asthma. It makes him REALLY upset :(
Just think of all of the roads there are...all of the things I haven't seen....yet. |
