80 to 100 meteors per hour. Known as one of the brightest meteor showers!
I'll be watching.

It was kind of overcast here last night, but I am hoping for better viewing tonight!

| Hubby was up in the wee hours to try to see it, but I think we are too close to the light pollution of DC. We may drive out toward Shenandoah Valley tonight - late - to give it another try. |

Of all the nights for the dark clouds to move in before dusk, it was last night. However, around 2 AM I did get to see two meteors.

I couldn't sleep last night so I went out at 4 am and looked up at the sky. I saw a meteor. I got tired of looking up so I decided to lie down on the hood of my car so my neck wouldn't hurt. I saw several more meteors and it was very peaceful with the katydids singing.

That sounds so nice Cindy, I went out after midnight and sat in my car to watch but I fell asleep and woke up at 2:30, but later I found I was watching the wrong way too! Also some friends of mine went out after 10:30 and saw some. I am going to try that tonight.
