I'm thinking of my sister today. She lost her nine year old granddaughter four years ago to liver cancer. Her sadness during the holidays is overwhelming.
Today I am praying for all who read this that have lost children in their families. May the Lord cover you with his mercy, grace, and peace that passes understanding. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

You are kind Sara. It's true that times of joy are often a reminder of grief, and this time of year is especially hard for many people. I second your compassionate message

Sara. I have the same thoughts. Whether they are children or adults, loss is especially hard at this time of year. I'm praying too.

I have a friend who lost her husband on Christmas morning last year. He had been diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer in October and went downhill so quickly, no matter what they did. At the end, he was in hospice care and she was able to be with him as his life ebbed. He passed early on Christmas morning. It has been a rough year for her.

I am so sorry to hear of your sister's loss, Sara. I pray that she will be surrounded by loving prayers and family during her time of great grief.

Sara, that is such a compassionate thought, and thank you for reminding doing us to send extra prayers for those who have lost loved ones. Your sister is in my prayers.
