                      | Hello Farmgirls! I've been away for over 5 years - not sure why though. Was telling a friend this morning about the forum and felt homesick. I'm a nurse, wife, mom, and grandma. Last spring I was diagnosed with diabetes. I immediately switched to a vegan diet and started exercising. In 3 months, my A1C went from 11.2 to 5.8 (only .1 above normal). Three months later, it was down to 5.6. I'm almost completely off my medications (with physician supervision). I still hate exercising but I love what it's doing for my health. Retirement is on the horizon and I want to be healthy so we can manage a very small homestead to raise our own crops.
Scrapbooking is still my passion. I'm hosting a handmade postcard swap so feel free to join in!

                      | Welcome back Pam! My daughter is a vegan (thereby making the rest of the family one by default sometimes!) and I'm truly warmed to hear of your amazing recovery. Fantastic! It's also nice to hear of another keeping the scrapbooking passion alive
