i have made them from time to time when the mood hits me ... and have lots of candle making equipment .. but don't do it as a business or anything. do them for me and as gifts sometimes. xo
I tired my hand at candles. Decided it's not something that I want to do. But I would love to buy some nice candles from a Farmgirl -- jar candles or votives.
I started out making them just for me. We lost power here just the other night and it was particularly nice to be able to light the house with candles that won't stain and wash up easily if it spills (we have house kitties).
Right now we have to really get the wood stove rocking before I can start melting wax otherwise they do weird things when they cool. Although I kinda prefer a jump line or three and tend to make them on purpose. ;)
I have a tee tiny etsy shop, you girls made that look so fun I had to try it.
I make soy candles, I make jars, votives and melts. I try to use recycled glass containers. I use fragrance and essential oils. I am working on getting some things ready to put on etsy. If you email me what you are wanting. What size and scent I can let you know a price.
Let me throw my two cents in here too. I have been making candles for about three years now. I experimented with them for two years before that working on my "recipe" before I came up with what I consider to be a quality candle. I make mine in a wide variety of scents in the eight ounce jelly jars. Kathy
