As some of you know I have goats. I just recently got 2 dairy goats. One is alpine and the other is nubian. They are both breed, due in March. I am wanting to start making soap when they kid. I use to make soap about 9 years ago. I had a very good recipe. The only thing I can recall is it used goat milk, lye, and oils. When I got divorced 5 years ago my ex kept all of my things. If any of you have a recipe would you please share with me. Little scared of some of the recipies you find on the internet for you never know who you can trust. Not talking about you farmgirls but on different websites. Thanks a bunch.

| I make goats milk soap, when I can get the milk. Ponte Vedra is the site I got the great recipe from. No watching temps, so easy and turns out so nice. Michele |

Laura, mine was a gift, and I am not sure where it came from except tha it was make locally (to my SIL and BIL's farm in Northfield MN) It has tea tree in it and I have been using it on my face. I love it!!!
There is another bar as well that has sand from Sandstone MN in it and I have been using that on my body and feet and I LOVE IT!!!!

| This is the second soap I have made. The first being lard soap. Everyone loves this goats milk soap. You mix the water, and goats milk, then add the lye. While that is sitting, melt the coconut oil, palm oil, then add olive oil. Then you add everything all together. I use a stick blender, and in a very short time you have trace. Pour it in the molds, cover and let it sit a day, then cut and set out to dry. Like I said very simple, and works for me. We use it at the sink, and in the bath and shower. You can add grapefruit seed extract, and essential oils, but the last time I left them out, and everything worked just fine. They add up the cost of a bar, and I was trying to keep that down.
