JO ROCKS! The box of love from Alaska arrived today - the one that I "won" from jo thompson in her very generous fabric giveaway last week. Here's what I found when I opened it up (ripped it open):

I knew this was going to be good! How cute is that top fabric?!
And then here's what I found when I dug deeper:

WOW! Jo, this is too, too cool. Amazing fabrics (you have great taste Farmgirl!), a very awesome book on April Cornell designs for the home (love it!) and a Rowan knitting catalog...weirdo pictures but coolio patterns! I'm totally digging on that big red & pink floral fabric with the green background next to the Rowan catalog too...

Ooh! And she also sent a pattern for fingerless mitts. How I love fingerless mitts! (Though I will need full-on wool mitts this weekend as Minnesota prepares to drop to our coldest temps in three years...what does Catherine say to that? "FINALLY!")

Thank you so much Jo! You are too generous and a TRUE BLUE Farmgirl at heart!

Catherine, the crazy obsessed knitter who now MUST get her sewing machine out...

You are one lucky Farmgirl, Catherine!!! Such beautiful fabrics! You're right Jo has great taste! That picture of Jackson sure made me smile and brought back memories of my son doing the same thing!! Tooo Cuuute!!! Enjoy your prize. I'll bet you will just have the best time feeling and looking through the material over and over, envisioning what you'll make out of them. I'm so happy for you! Enjoy!! Big hugs, Lu

Wow, Catherine, you are one lucky farmgirl! Love those vintage style fabrics and I love Rowan patterns - they are so different. That package must have made your day; no, made your whole month!!!
Best wishes,

That is a great bunch of stuff you got there. What a nice thing for Jo to do. And of course you can't get any cuter then a baby in a box.
