Oh Marilou! Sounds beautiful there! I travel to SEE fall colors because where I live there is rarely much color change so my vacation is always end of October first of November! You are so blessed!

Dang Kelly... the post office lady said the envelope was too stiff and wanted to charge close to $4 to send????? Said it would have to as a "package."
Brought it home.. redid everything and resending today.....
I can order up to 10 pounds of stuff through a company's web site for $4.95.... you'd think something weighing less than an ounce would go for a stamp or two. AGH!!!

We have some unusual mail ladies in Texas.
Some will go out of their way to save you money while others don't seem to care.

Marilyn.. Its everywhere really! Not just postal people. Its SO REFRESHING when you DO find an individual going out of their way to save you a few bucks tho isn't it? I had a lady do this very thing for me today at the thrift store! :)

I received my ATC from Marilyn today. I will take a picture and post a little later. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, Marilyn. I love the way you painted it. My ATC went into the mail to you today, and I forgot to take a picture. I hope you like it. The little box I sent it in cost me a little under $4.00.
Just a word of caution about mailing, though - the square envelopes that are out there need to go for $.70 even if they weigh 1 ounce or under. The reason - because it is not WIDE enough. It's the pits, but that's the USPO for you. Also, if the envelope is not uniformly even it will also require additional postage - sometimes.

When I mailed two 10" fabric squares to Terri last week (I think) it was in an envelope for a card, not a #10. I asked the lady if I needed additional postage. It was folded, ironed fabric and a piece of card stock. She felt of it, then weighed it(which I had done at home) and said one stamp was stufficient. I could hardly believe it.

Kelly, Picked your up ATCs on the way out of town Saturday at PO Box. TWO sweet fall ATC's!!!! brought them to my craft retreat this weekend to share with the gals.
Soo wonderful... hope to post them soon...as soon as I find which tote they are now currently living in.
I soo love my Organizational skills.
(Did I mention my perfectly organized Mom loved my organizational skills too. Probably gave her those grey hairs before their time. Sorry mom.)

Here is a picture of the ATC that Marilyn sent me. It is Really a 3-ATCer. I love love love it. They are painted by Marilyn and then the leaves are decoupaged on (I think). And the word Autumn ties all three together. I really like them.

The last picture is a big Burr oak acorn, or that is what I tried to paint.
The first one just dropped from my tree. A week ago they were green with curly 'green hair', now they are turning in brown.

April, you will make beautiful ATC's! Once you get a name for the one you join in look up other swaps for ATC's and look at other ones for ideas and even on You Tube, you will create something beautiful! So many ideas.
