Tasha - this is acrylic felt. I have just ordered some wool blend (70/30)felt and I will be switching all my products to this. I am trying to use up all my acrylic felt though. Wool felt is SOOOOOO much better. This particualar felt in the brooch is actually more sturdy thann some of the other acrylics.

My biggest issue with the acrylic is that some of the colors seem SO thin. I have some blue that I can't even use for any of my projects because it just shreds when you put a needle though it. Its a bummer.

So cute! Felted wool works great for these as well and you could get tons out of a couple of sweaters!!
Blessings,
Missy

Grace saw this when I was responding and so she asked me for one...her words were..."Mama, did you make that?" I said, "Nope, Julie did." "well, I think you can make that. You can make one for me!" How can a mama resist that. So here is the picture of hers and one for the wee babe too...
Grace picked out the heart fabric that is on top, "because it is Valentimes day, Mama"
and a little heart for Zoe

Thanks for inspiring Grace! That was a fun little project!
