Amanda, your home is wonderful and so are your gardens. Get that porch swing. I love mine so much I have one on the porch and one outside. Texas is my favorite state next to Minnesota. Enjoy!

Oh thanks so much, Bonnie!
As it turned out, my mother sold her house and I got allllll of her patio furniture! So now there is no room for a swing, but I got 2 porches' worth of furniture! Yay

Hey Ladies!!! So sorry I haven't responded, geez! I really should subscribe to my own posts. LOL.
I will get more photos soon. It is pretty green here right now...looks VERY spring-ish. (yay for more temperate climate!)
So last year (2019) we did a LOT of work on the house. We decided that it was the year to get things done! So, we: screened the front and back porches (LOVE THEM), got a new chimney cap, had the entire exterior re-stained and painted (no more "patchwork color"...yay!), had the upstairs shower totally re-tiled and repaired, and painted the upstairs bath. Whew! I have also worked on further developing the flower beds in the front. I am realllllly trying for that cottage feel, but it's hard when your summers are so unforgiving! Although....lantana is a surefire winner. Ha.
This year, I plan on painting the interior...really mostly just the trim. After 12 years of living here, some of it is beat up badly! There are also a few things that need touching up and finishing, such as trimwork. I spent a lot of 2019 doing minimalizing and have gotten rid of soooo much stuff I wasn't using and was just hogging space. I'll post photos for y'all when I get things where I want them so you can see, too!
Hope y'all are having a wonderful 2020 so far.
