Tabi, I'm so sorry to hear about the death of your children's friend. I'll pray for Joe and for your friend. Hopefully her tumor will be benign. Good luck on your new endeavors.

Hello, Tabi-- Welcome, Welcome!!! I think you'll absolutely enjoy your time on these forums. There's sooo much to discuss, it's hard to pick "what" first! These gals are great for everything--recipes, a shoulder, compost advice, you name it.
I lived in Cornwall, near Boscastle for a glorious two years, and though our nearest town was Exeter, I could feel progress "moving" our way rapidly.
Again, welcome, and enjoy!!! Jonni

Tabi, Am so very sorry to hear. Warm thoughts and wishes are sent your way! I do so hope things will brighten up soon, that the family of the little boy will find comfort in such an awful time and that your friend will have good news at the end of her test. You are being thought of. Hugz n Best Thoughts, Talitha

Hi Tabi, I hopped on here to welcome another 'foreign' farmgirl and then read your sad news. I am so sorry and send best wishes that everyone will find some comfort at this sad time. Would love to chat again when you have time - I love all things English, even though I am a colonial!! I get the British Country Living every month, just love it! Again best wishes to you, Jayne |

Welcome. I am also new as of March, and I see the numbers of the chapters and members growing every day, which means many of us are desperate to embrace a simpler lifestyle. I have been in the mountains of Idaho for over 30 years now, but before that I was just "in the Treasure Valley" in Nampa or Boise. I do not have a farm but hope to work towards that end. I have books from the 60's including an almost complete, from issue 1 to current, copies of Mother Earth magazines. I have a 16 year old son who is a freestyle skier and competes on the circuit (he is at Nationals at Lake Tahoe right now and his comp is today). I also have two grown sons, ages 35 and 34. My first born son has Downs Syndrome (one of Gods' special children) and he lives with his brother now. I am so proud of my family! I don't know much about the United Kingdom but it is only geography that seperates us. Our chapter is called "Mountain Farmgirls" and our newest motto is: You are never alone in the forest of sisters", so welcome to our "forest". Peace and blessings to you and yours, idcityrose
We are never alone in the forest of Sisters! We "Mountain Farmgirls" are outstanding in our field! |
