very nice painting, perhaps as mentioned it served as at least 2 of those..I think it's possible that it was both a church and a school..made from barn parts..ha. reckon someone was into recycling.:0)

Hubby said that it was a school house during the week and used for a church on Sunday's. It is very beautiful.

Looks to me like what Tina said --- a church built from barn parts which also functioned as a school. Is it a real building or just folk art? Neat painting though!
