HI Everyone!! I am so excited to share with you an opportunity from our MaryJane, Sister #! and our Queen Bee! She is offering a giveaway this month to celebrate our Apple Festival here at MJF. In her latest Aug-Sept. magazine issue, there is a section pp. 42-55 on her BakeOver recipes. One of the recipes is a delicious Potato Apple BakeOver. It is a must try and perfect for an easy fall dinner when you are fresh out of ideas!!
The Giveaway will include a box of the fantastic Budget Baking mix which comes in regular, whole wheat and Gluten free. In addition, you will receive her original Special Recipe Issue from 2006. I got this magazine a few years ago with an order of the Budget Mix and it is a recipe treasure trove! There are so many ideas and each one is easy and delicious.

Winnie sounds so delicious!!! Anything apple for me!!! I guess my all time favorite apple recipe is Apple Stack Cake that my Mom and Grandmother used to make especially for the Fall and Winter months...How sweet and thoughtful of Mary Jane!!!

oh for sure,, add me to the list of hopefuls...
My goal this year is to bake more,,,, and after all,,, Washington has lovely apples and I have a grafted apple tree,, so why not make baked apples.,, pies, muffins, spiced cookies etc...

OMY!!! HOW perfect and PERFECTLY wonderful of her!!! I JUST finished reading the magazine AGAIN for the second time and wrote down the recipe for the potato/apple bakeover! Dianna, yes that potato/apple bakeover is so good!! I have made it in my cast iron skillet and it is such a yummy dish. The latest fall magazine is just packed full with interesting articles and ideas with fall in mind. I almost always read mine cover to cover several times. I hate to miss something important!

Hey--what's a 4 hour drive or a short(?) plane trip? I am so very excited.
I love anything made with apples and have a weakness for scones. Will be trying out some apple scones recipes this week. I shouldn't, it's not on any diet I know of...scones, that is. But my excuse is that this is Apple month and I need to do my FarmGirl duty. Right? That's my story and I'm sticking to it..hee, hee.
