Well, the Girls are tucked away for the Winter :>(
Good night Serro Scotty and Aristocrat...
Since we had a bit of Hail yesterday we decided to tuck the other trailer into the barn... So now, both trailers are tucked away for the Winter.
I need to head over to the Dollar store and pick up about 4-6 of those moisture wick tubs to put into both trailers... as well as buy some 'dryer sheets' to tuck into corners and around the wheel wells to prevent mice from making themselves at home in my trailer... znd of course I need to tuck fresh lavender sachets in the cabnets, drawers and closets.
I was hoping to get 1 more glamping weekend in before Autumn truly arrives,, but since we are having off and on rains and the Hail,, we decided to tuck the trailers away.
Anyone else tucking their trailers away now?

I agree with Michele. It seems just like yesterday you were heading out for your first trip. I can't believe how quickly our summer has come and gone.

I so agree,,, and,, I was reading on page 5 of this issues MJF mag.. and it looks like I am not alone, wishing I could have gotten in more Glamping time...
But even though I have both trailers I the barn,,, I can still go out during the winter and snuggle in my trailers...

Grace---are you sure you are not just a big weenie? Looks like you could camp a little longer and enjoy the rain and cooler weather. My husband is on vacation and we are staying at the cabin shack every night. It is so hot and dry here that it is not funny. No relief in sight. I am becoming a true holler person---no running water. I am having to dribble wash dishes and take sponge baths. Still enough water to flush the commode. I am able to wash clothes at my friends house and get drinking water there. Our creek is almost totally dry. Holler living do get tedious. It's easier to camp at the cabin and dip water out of the last little hole in the creek. Could it be global warming? Better than the floods in Texas though. Such crazy weather anymore. Anyway be happy if you are wet and chilled. I'm roasting.

HG56.. me a weenie? hahaha! nope,,, but we have a dirt (mud) road to the barn, so we need to get the trailers into the barn before the road/driveway gets so muddy that the trailers get stuck in the mud.. The motorhome is at the repaire shop for some warrenty work,,, hopefully we will get it back by next tuesday or Wednesday. We might get lucky and get a few days of camping in,, fingers crossed.

Grace----sorry I suspected that you were a weenie. I was pretty sure you weren't. The mud makes perfect sense. I hate getting stuck. sure wish I could have some mud around instead of this horrid dryness.

HG56,,, I (in the farm truck)got stuck one time and DH was at work,, so I knew I had to get un-stuck or I'd never hear the end of it from DH,,, I got some old barn towels and card board,, placed under the tires,, and after several tries,, got out of the mud.. never did tell DH..
DH and I were out in the barn today, moving things around and poor DH had to fight with the bench & mattress in the Aristocrat to access the marine battery which was located not so convienantly under the bench.. DH needed to charge the battery for the winter.. now I can kick back in my lil trailer and snuggle in and read, even out in the barn.

You're putting yours to bed for the winter and we are bringing ours out. I can't camp in the summer -- we don't have a generator to operate the A/C yet. We keep ours up at the archery range most of the time but DH is bringing it home today for me to get it ready for a long weekend away from home. I am so ready-- haven't been camping since last winter; it seems forever.
