Temecula Quilts just did a series of free potholder patterns this month. They have them available on their blog. I like making them but already have way more than I can use.

Jean - I'll try and set one up towards the end of the month and see if we can get some takers to swap pot holders in Feb. That should give everyone time to find their way back after the holidays.

Thanks Judith - I'll have to check it out.

Yep . . . joined at the hip and separated at birth perhaps are we Katmom. Hahahahahahaha. I LOVE LOVE that you are doing potholders for Jubilee. Question about that -- do we have partners for it or just pick our own recipient? Inquiring minds want to know. I have a great little book of pot holder patterns and many of them DON'T require a binding . . . . inside joke, everyone. Katmom will get it. LOL.

Heather go for it -- a February potholder swap will be a great way to get ready for Jubilee.

Jean,, no designated partner,, just randomly surprise a recipient, secretly or let them know it's from you

BTW, your potholder from flour sack cloth was one of the ones that needed to be washed, it had lots of use,#128522;#128522;

At last! I've finished the denim "Braid my Way" coverlet for my son. It is queen size and made of old jeans that either I wore or bought at a thrift store. The backing is from a yellow stripe duvet cover my mom gave me and white hospital sheets I found for a quarter each, making this an upcycled creation. I still need to add a label and figure out how to get it to him in Florida, because it is pretty heavy.

I'm not sure it would fit. I'd really have to fold it tightly.

Vanessa - sometimes FedEx or UPS is cheaper than USPS for larger items.

I finished 4 microwave potholder/ice cream bowls, 2 dish drainer quilts, and many other items to sell at the small shop here in town. I hope things sell well.

Two weeks ago I had my eye surgery and was told not to bend, lift, or drive for two weeks. Monday DH had an aortic valve replaced and was told not to bend, lift,, or drive for two weeks. Fortunately my two weeks was up so I could drive him home. So today I am doing all the bending and lifting that I missed out on in the last two weeks.

I forgot to share the diamond painting I finished for my husband for Christmas. I ran out of the light pink color and had to improvise with the other colors, but I think it still turned out good.
