                      | scrappy paper-pieced hotpad? I purchased the kit a long while back and it sat in the UFO pile. Paper piecing is new to me and I don't understand the directions. Any help would be wonderful. Thanks

                      | I've seen these being made. They can be as random or as fussy as one likes. The process is simple and meditative. The results are gorgeous.

                      | It is an easy process, I just don't care to do much of it at one time. LOL!

                      | Yup -- in the car you are a captive audience. That's why I like to sew up at our trailer. No tv, or any other distractions. I can get a lot done up there.

                      | Judith, on our last camping trip (2019) I brought my feather weight,, and worked on strips for a quilt,, it was nice to sit outside at the picnic table, my stuff spread out everywhere,,, and I could watch the boaters floating down the river as I sewed.. oh sigh, wish I could be camping right now...

                      | We only have electric at the trailer unless we turn on the generator on so I keep my 1930 Jones hand crank up there. We usually only turn the generator on to charger the batteries if there isn't enough sun for the solar. Sometimes I can talk DH into turning it on so I can iron. I did buy a butane iron but I can't turn it down enough to keep from scorching everything. I love sewing up there.

                      | The hot pad is a dresden plate pattern and the directions say paper piecing. Grace, I'll check pinterest for this type and give it a go :) Thanks.
