Hi Joanne and MaryJanesNiece.
I live in a rural town in CT. Well our house is in a rural part of town but the rest is developed (too much imho). I have had the farming fever for a long time but it comes and goes  . We had chickens for a few years but not at the moment (maybe in the spring) and I have some raised beds with vegetables and herbs as well.

Karen,, were abouts in CT are yo? N-S-E or W?
I use to live in New Britian, ,there were about a dozen militaries families in our little neighborhood,, and all the military men including my dad worked in Hartford at the Recruiting station.. that was back in 1966...
