                      | Connie --So beautiful! I remember my mother growing hydrangeas in Berkeley when I was a child. She used to put the used coffee grounds under them.

                      | Thank you Debbie, last year they had about 50 blooms on each bush, I think it had to be the heat this year. Connie

                      | Connie, each bloom is beautiful. This year's heat took a toll on all our gardens in its path.

                      | Beautiful Connie!
Mine never bloomed this year. We just haven't had enough rain to keep everything going.

                      | I was a bit of a late bloomer myself ;)!
When asked “How are you?”, I reply, “Better than good!”

                      | I agree , it was the heat! Denise, like Sara said, plants don't like city water like they like rain water!
The temp was so intense! Hydrangeas like shade and cool and water!
I would soak the leaves down too and water each one 30 minutes at the root.
Sharon I'm late every day for everything in the Summer! lol!

                      | Connie, those are beautiful! This has really been an off year. Almost everything in my garden struggled. My guess is it had to do with some heat as well. I am glad you still get to enjoy them.

                      | Thanks Krista! I love to pick some of the blooms and bring inside. They will last inside a few days in cold water I agree, it was an off season surely because of the intense heat!
