Beautiful Connie Sue!! We used to have our porch surrounded by azaleas at our last home. I made the mistake of placing two tiki torches in the bed. A storm blew the caps off, and rain over filled the fuel canister which eventually killed the azaleas. It was heartbreaking, they were at least twenty years old.

A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel.

Thank you Wanda Sue,I understand how you feel.
Thank you Debbie, there are new branches coming up from the roots.
Azaleas love a bed of leaves in winter.I leave a deep pile around them all, we have 3 acres of trees so we have plenty. I grew up in an old neighborhood with lots of trees, my next door neighbor and mentor had the most beautiful azaleas, they were as tall as me, I was 5 at the time. She told me they love the leaves in Winter and I always remembered that.
My Granny was the Rosebush and Fig
bush lady of our neighborhood .She had the most beautiful yellow roses and Fig Bushes!and Wisteria.

You're azaleas are beautiful Connie! It's amazing how old they are. Here in the Chicago area spring has been a bit chilly. My daffodils are opening this week giving me a much needed color show. Enjoy your azaleas and I hope they keep blooming every spring for you!
