Summertime is here - at least here in Texas!

Who needs a new sun bonnet/hat? I do!

This swap is 1 homemade sun bonnet or hat ONLY, no tucks - to save postage costs.
Signups until june 15.
Mailout by July 1 or sooner.

Some examples:

The pattern I have for this one looks very loosided, but it works; only 2 pieces buttoned together.

These two are almost identical, except the pink one does not go under the chin quite as much, which I kinda like better. FYI: I made the first one and Grace (katmom) made the pink one.

Lots of free patterns on Pinterest or other sites. I have patterns that are 2 pieces button-together, one piece open top buttons together at back, and more.

Here are a few I found:

Nice Pdf pattern, but lots of pages to print.

Well Fiddle Stix!! I dug through all of my crafty-VTG.& Misc patterns,, even dug through my Apron patterns on the chance that I may have miss-filed my Parrie Bonnet pattern.. No luck!
but I will go through a few more Pattern bins.. just in case..
Keep your fingers crossed I find it..
The pink & white seersucker type fabric was recycled fabric.
That was a fun sewing project.
The one Linda made and sent to me, well my granddaughter borrowed it from me this past/last November for a school project- Pilgrims.. and she has not returned it..
So I have 2 options,, let her keep it... or be that tacky granny and demand it back.. I am just glad she like it and doesn't want to return it...

Oh, let her keep it! Lol!

No swappers yet. Does no one need a new sun bonnet this year?

Hmmmm. I will make one - just in case.

Very cute idea.
I am juggling 4 swaps right now, so I will just watch and enjoy this one.
How do you keep the brim stiff?

Candy - one of the stiffer iron-on interfacings can be used for the brim. For the 2 tie-on bonnets it isn‘t quite as stiff as the fruit print one.
