Hello everyone. I am excited to announce that our annual Apple Festival at MJF starts September 1st ,2026. For those of you who are new, we started this fun tradition back in 2014 and have enjoyed sharing our stories about apples we grow, apples we love, and apple recipes. We even have used the last Sunday in September to call our own Apple Pie
Sunday. Some people prefer apple recipes that are savory and that is also a great way to enjoy. We keep our festival open to all sorts of new ideas and suggestions.
I will be posting my annual Apple Swap and my Apple Giveaway, so if you are interested, please join in the fun. Many Farmgirls have been here since the beginning of this tradition and I hope you will leave a short reply here about some of your favorite apple memories of Fall apple gatherings, harvests, or apple types you always have on hand at home.

I have already harvested some zest star apples off our farm. They are an early apple and pretty good tasting. Though they don't store long, at least for me. I have made a few things with them, including apple fritters, our favorite. One of our grandsons asked if we will be pressing cider this year,as they really love it.
