Is anybody still active on this board? If so, would y'all be interested in a quilted bag swap? This tutorial: http://www.psiquilt.com/2009/08/friendship-bag-tutorial.html looks super easy and is adorable!

As everybody here knows, homemade bags are a great way to do our part in saving the environment. I'm appalled at how many plastic bags have gone through my home. I have saved them and reused them, recycled them, etc., but it seems to be a never-ending flow!

Plus, these make great gifts for all occasions. Who's with me?

Hi, Kyria,

They will be. slowly but surely we're trying to get it going. It never fully took off the way it should've and I have alot of ideas I am looking forward to getting going. I think that is adorable! If you want to get the first swap going for the Hotties,
have at it! I am trying to do better myself about plastic bags but I need to get more serious so this is a great thing.

If nothing else, Brooke, we can make a bag for each other!

I am quite willing to organize the swap if other ladies get involved. Speak up, ladies!

Yay! That makes three. Anybody else?

I'll give it a little while to give everybody a chance to see this and chime in. Then I'll work out the details for doing it.

I posted this also in the Farmgirl Chapter Chatter. There are a few girls who are waiting on Brian for entry into the Henhouse! So, yes, please, let's give it just a little time!

Wow, I did not realize how small this bag is! Rachel, whose tutorial it is, took such good pictures that I didn't realize it's tiny! Here it is up next to my iron.

Finished!

So tell me, ladies, do you wanna do this one or a bigger one for shopping?

Okay, the quilted bag is too small. Do you want me to find another specific pattern, or do you each want to just do your own pattern? We're talking full-size shopping bag here. The size of a plastic bag or larger, as desired.

How do you like this one? It's still a little small, but I can adjust the measurements.

Hopefully, this will post now. I'll play, but I'm wondering if we need to all use the same pattern. How do you guys feel about everyone choosing their own? Maybe we could have a rule about size instead.

Absolutely, everyone could choose their own! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound like you had to do something I picked. I was just trying to come up with a good pattern!

Tell you what, how 'bout I take the bag swap idea to the regular forums and open it up to everybody? I hate to have people excluded just because they haven't paid for a membership! Only 4 people besides me have expressed interest here.

Is that okay with y'all, or do you want to do a small, semi-private swap?

Well, there is the Heart of Texas thread for the Texas girls that want to be but can't afford 20 dollars right now. Also, I will post it on the Hottie facebook because there are some other girls there. I also found out a couple of girls didn't already have their memberships so Brian couldn't add them. (I have to talk to them..) ....

I like that kind of bag, Kyria! We'll get this thing rolling!
