Thank-you all for all of your sweet wishes and comments! I appreciate all of them very much. Yes, indeed, it is a huge honor to be chosen and I still can't believe it is true ! My life has been opened up and enriched by all of you on the Farmgirl Connection in so many ways. It is indeed the best group ever!! Thank you all too for welcoming me into the Scattered Prairie Gals Henhouse. So many blessings all happened in the month of July! Whoop!!
We are currently in Portland, OR enjoying more of the West! It has been such a fun vacation but looking forward to getting back home on Sunday night . I miss my kitty !!! I hope all of you have a great weekend !! |

I am back home from vacation and still pinching myself that this is all real! MaryJane's Farm stumbled into my life through her magazine and it has been a wonderful adventure ever since. It is things like meeting so many other Farmgirls online and a few in person that makes this connection wonderful. What a genius MaryJane was to just share her love of a farm girl's life with women who felt the same way. When you read the posts from newcomers, we all share something in common. We "get" the Farmgirl is a matter of the heart part. Yep, we get it and we rejoice in meeting other like minded women to share and collaborate with. There is power in connecting to people in meaningful ways, even if most of it is online. And then we get the opportunities to meet each other in person, like with Sue Freely visiting Gainesville! Little rare moments of sharing together and laughing with women you would never have had the pleasure to know and meet. For me, the FSOTY award is about paying forward this opportunity to others and I will be looking for ways to do that on our sisterhood connection as ideas gel and get approved from the home office!
