Hi everyone! I'm Erin, I live in northeast Indiana. I'm a 31 year old Christian, married with 3 kids, 2 boys (7,5) a girl (3), that I homeschool, and an Alaskan Malamute named Maya (2). We live in a big old house in the country. We love our house, but it's a lot of work! Right now we're getting ready for our garden this year, and I think we're getting chickens. If I'm being completely honest, I have a bit of a black thumb, although I get better every year. My husband is the true gardener and without him, we wouldn't have a garden. Usually I can keep up the herb garden though. I sort of dabble in a lot of different crafts. I like to cook, bake, sew, mosaic, crochet, cross stitch, and do various paper crafts. I make wine with a group of friends at my house every Friday night. I love to read (some favorites: all Jane Austen, Anna Karenina, Stranger in a Strange Land, Marion Zimmer Bradley's Avalon books, Gaston Leroux's Phantom of the Opera, Kerouac, and currently reading Sherlock Holmes). I love fairies, mermaids, and fairytale-ish things. Those are the basics.
I hope this group can get a little jumpstart. This is the first time I'm posting here though, so I'm not blaming anyone for being absent :) |

| Erin! You sound SO much like ME!!! :) I also have three kids...they are one year older than yours - and 2 boys and a girl as well! Fun! I'm looking forward to getting to know you better :) I'm also hoping this group will get a little jumpstart - and we'll start sharing/swapping/creating together!! |

| Hi Erin! Sure am :) It costs me 85cents to send a letter to a penpal from Canada...I don't imagine that yours would be much more :) I'd love to send you a letter as well! I will write it over the next couple of days and sent it out :) |

| Joyce I mailed your letter this morning! I went to the post office and stocked up on my global forever stamps, so next time I'll be able to just put it in the mailbox. The mail lady put a Christmas wreath stamp on your letter, which made me laugh since it's March, so look for that! :) |

Hi Girls,
I have not been on for awhile,
I am 52. I have a grown daughter, who is married. No grandkids yet, but hoping soon. I love to quilt and knit, and do some canning when I am not working, unfortunately work gets in the way. I live in Minnesota, just outside of St. Paul/Minneapolis. I don't live on a farm but try to make up for it by going to the farmers markets, and road trips. I have a twin sister who lives about a mile away so we are together frequently.
