Carole suggested we have a thread specifically for this book, which of course makes perfect sense. So, here it is! Let's use this for any postings about this book. Anyone else started reading it yet?

Thought it would be helpful to post the discussion questions here, too. I'm going to try to write my answers down as I go. Even though some of them are yes or no questions, it would be nice if you can explain why you feel the way you do for each question:

1. What part of this book inspired you in some way?

2. Will you ready other books by this author?

3. Do the main characters change by the end of the book? (Do they grow or mature, or learn something new, etc.)

4. If you could ask the author one question, what would you ask?

5. If you could have lunch with one character, who would it be?

6. What did you think of the style of writing and/or the structure of the book?

7. What surprised you most about the book?

8. Did any of the characters remind you of yourself of someone you know?

9. Did your opinion of the book change as you read it?

10. This one is just an open question -- What do you want to say about this book? Anything goes!!

Happy Day!

Its a good book.
I have to read it again though, which is ok by me. I printed them out so I can think about them easier.

I've read the first few chapters but side stepped to finish a couple of swaps I signed up for and finish my novel I was reading...I should be done by this weekend; I can definitely relate to this author. Even though I've transplanted to my state, I can't imagine living anywhere else but my little patch of woods...

Great, Lexi, we're going to start discussing the book after the 4th of July, so no rush. Maine is a beautiful state for sure!

Maine is pretty. I've never been to Delaware. I've been reading some historical fiction and learning about states I don't know much about, like Virginia. I've got a new appreciation for the South. I hope to visit there sometime.

I am about halfway through the book - it is what I read before going to sleep, to calm my mind and decompress :) I'm looking forward to discussing this one, as it is quickly becoming a favorite book!

Sandra - the fact that you are taking the time to read it and join us, is fantastic! Please do not worry about the speed of how quickly you have it read! The last book I did not get finished until after the discussion! And I have no justification, other than life happened :)
