Bonnie, it seems like it! Snow is so rare for us! and they are predicting 4 to 8 inches for us Monday Morning!

Denise so pretty!! Now we got a little on the ground, more coming after midnight! Going down to 5 degrees Monday night!!
Julie laughs at that, her lows go 25 below!!

Rain, rain , rain! 2 1/2 inches already and 90% chance for the rest of today into tomorrow. It is one soggy mess outside and this next week has rain in the forecast about 50% of the time every day. We might need us a boat!! LOL!!

I just gave my squirrels some old peanuts and they are chowing down! The birds flew away when I got to close to the window. Lily June finally got her snow, I am hoping to get a picture later of her and mommy's snowman. Here in the country the roads are not passable and since its a Holiday and no mail there is no tracks at all except 4 wheelers. Its going down to 4 tonight, looks like no relief till Friday. Wednesday and Thursday another Wintery mix system coming thru but highs near 30 both days!

No snow here, thank goodness, but we are back to our gloomy days. I am so glad that Feb. 2nd was cloudy this year, usually it is our only sunny day of the winter. Maybe an early Spring? I'm hoping for a very rainy spring so we won't have drought conditions this year.

Pretty snow photos of your yard, Connie! I know Lily June enjoyed making a snowman too!! We are finally having some sunshine today after tons of rain since last Friday at noon. We had 4 1/2 inches in 3 days!! More rain is coming on Thurs /Friday again and then temps drop to freezing Friday night and highs in 50s for weekend. Crazy roller coaster of weather for us too. Stay safe everyone in areas off frigid temps and sleet/snow pile ups!!

Hasn't the weather been crazy? Wow, just cannot believe what it going on around us. For us northerners, snow and cold snaps are always something you expect in the winter time ... but down south?

Yes, it is bitter cold ... the wind just adds the extra brrrr touch! I don't mind cold, it's the wind that gets me. We have had a lot of snow and expect more on Thursday. I do like snow!

Hoping everyone is safe and warm. Cheers!

Everything but essential workers is closed . No thaw for us till Friday. Chance of more snow today and tomorrow and our Heat went out yesterday. our neighbor is our heat and Air man. We need a motor and he may cant get till friday. Using heaters, working good. I have a new fireplace heater that had never been used and its a good one. Has a thermostat. I got it at Walmart. It got too hot in the kitchen and I had to turn it off while the oven was on.
My brother brought over 2 heaters yesterday so we are good. I am thankful I have Power!!! I don't like a hot house anyway, with my MS I stay hot from my myelin missing.

Feeding my birds and working puzzles and baking! This is the worst storm for us in about 25 years!

Last nite as the sand man made his rounds (do y'all remember the song from the 1950s)
He dropped more snow along about bed time. Just a smidge. Then after midnight we were blessed with the stay at home stuff! The glaze of ice! My son told my hubby that the streets in town were so slick. He has four wheel drive. He had to venture out to get bay and the baby. Triston is working with his dad.A new high school, about 30 miles from town had all of the pipes burst...they will vacuum water and set up big fans and they will be exhausted when their day is done. I'm ready for temps in the fifties, during the daylight and above freezing at night.
We have power! Yes! We have some propane and plenty of wood for the wood stove. I have not been outside since this all started. I'm such a fall risk it is not worth it.

Beautiful, Connie. I'm so happy that
Lily June finally got snow!
Has she made a snow angel yet? I believe that when kids make snow angels, they are thanking God for making the beautiful snow!
Have you made a big bowl of snow ice cream?

They are telling us snow starts in the morning and giving us 5 inches. We never know if it will happen or not here.

Marilyn, I m glad you have power where you are located plus a wood stove that can be a back-up. I feel so sorry for those Texans who rely on electric heat and have to endure days without heat and stay in their homes bundled up. This frigid weather has been hugely dangerous for your state.

Connie, I am happy to hear that you had some back up plans for heat and staying warm! Your new space heater sounds quite helpful as well for keeping adequate warmth where you need to be. Whew, I hope power is restored to you all soon!!

I have been keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers this past week . It does sound like the weather situation is going to improve this coming weekend and hopefully with that will come return to power for those without and a chance to repair those broken pipes and other home parts that this storm has damaged. I know farmers with livestock will sigh with relief that this crisis is over. Hopefully they did not lose animals due to abnormal cold causing distress and inability to get adequate water.

Went to Philly with JT on some jobs and it was sleeting, snowing and now we are headed back in a little rain. The roads aren't plowed a lot of places but the main ones are plowed and salted. Here are some pictures of what downtown Philly looked like.

In this photo you can't even see the bridge we were getting ready to cross.

I'm hoping this cold spell will soon end and give some relief to my poor frozen farm sisters. Our nephew in Fort Worth has an all electric house. Fortunately they have a fireplace and wood for three days more.
The good thing that will come out of this is more people staying home results in fewer covid cases. Look for the light at the end of the tunnel.

Today was in the 40s and melted a lot. We were working in PA and it was colder there but only because there was a bit of wind. Nothing like yesterday. It was cold and rainy.

Connie,I just read Lily June finally got her snow. Sure hope she had fun in it. Although we didn’t get the snow and ice everyone did, we just got really cold. I hope everyone is thawed out and warmed up by now. We have been basking in 40 degree weather and dreaming of spring.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Wow Julie it's hard to believe those of us south of you were getting colder temps than you were! I'm hoping for Spring but I don't want to get my hopes up too much. Who knew it would be this kind of winter weather this year??
