Pick one of the following badges to work on...

Going Green
Shopping Green
Green Energy

These badges are all found under Cleaning Up. If you already have the beginner level for one (or more) just move on to the next level. Post under here if you'd like to commit to one or more of these for this month.

Alright, I'm glad so many are on board with this. I just applied for Shopping Green intermediate level yesterday. I plan on working on expert Shopping Green, and possibly Going Green as well.

Did it! I applied for Shopping Green Intermediate level today! I would like to do more in this category...but right now I'm scared of making soap, and I know Erin is doing a "sew in" so I'll wait a little bit before doing another one :)

Oh... Those are just reusable bags. They don't have to be handmade or sewn. Maybe I should clarify that....

That's sort of what I meant...sorry...I think it's me that's confusing you - not your baby brain!! Maybe I read it wrong. Sorry to confuse you, Erin. What I mean to say is that I don't want to add another "shopping bag swap" when there is one currently going on, so I'm going to wait a bit before I work on that badge.

Ok so, he said anyone that participates in the bag swap can use that to qualify for the expert Shopping Green badge. We'll have a separate thread that I'll start where we can post about why using reusable bags is a good idea, and basically once those two things are done, you can apply for the expert badge. Make sense? I'll post this in the bag swap thread too.

Wow Debbie! That's awesome! I am not that ambitious, but I'm glad you are! The recycling badge is a hard one when you live in the country and there isn't recycling service. :(

I finally got my checklist and things printed off and in a binder. This is a busy time here so once things settle a little bit I will get going on more badges.

Well Erin, I thought if I got it out there in writing I would be accountable in getting it done...haha! I did apply for my expert level Saturday. We live 10 miles out of town and I agree...it's not like having curb side recycling pickup! I've just had to put it on my monthly check list to take my recyclables to the center on my way to town.
