The month I wait all year for has finally arrived! October is my favorite month. Here we really start seeing sign of Fall, the weather starts to change considerably.
The colors of October just bring me an energy like no other time of year.

Hope this is a fantastic month for everyone!

Happy to see Oct arrive. This Sept was the hottest on record for Texoma so glad to have it behind us. Though our afternoons are still hot the mornings are cool.

Sara,
I know you must be ready for the cooler months there. It's why I don't think I could live in Texas. Though thinking about it NJ is no picnic in the summer and I end up staying in most of the season. But we have a longer winter so that kind of makes up for it.

Denise you're right no place is perfect. We just have to find contentment where we are and walk on the sunny side of the street.

I watched Country Music on PBS and learned the song "On the Sunnyside" was written when the writer heard a man in a wheelchair tell his caregiver to push him on the sunny side of the street. If we look for the sunny side we can find hope and happiness anywhere.

Always liked that song Sara. You are right about being content. Trying to be content until it's time to move.

I love October - if only the weather would cooperate and bring the usual October temperatures we all crave right now.

Debbie did you get snow overnight??? I saw that the East Gate at Glacier had ( four) 4 feet of snow. I know one of the homesteader families I watch was expecting snow, and they were picking everything in their garden. They are in Northern Idaho.

Hmmmmm, October certainly arrived as scheduled but minus the falls weather!! It has been brutally hot here all week and will continue through the coming weekend. 90s everyday, no rain, humid and just like the rest of the summer months. But, I pretended it was Fall and went to Lowe's and Rural King and got cornstalks, pumpkins, mums and gourds and fixed up my backyard and porch. I am also getting out my little decorations still and enjoying how they brighten up the inside of my home. I love October and November months and I sure hope we can get some cooling off soon!

We didn't get snow like Glacier did! Just a skiff and it was gone soon. I am so happy that it's October, my favorite month! I decided to bring out all of my pumpkins and decorate the mantel.

Hi everyone. Debbie the fireplace looks wonderful. October is here. Although it is still hot here, you can tell the difference. Spent 2 days mowing the yard. We had a lot of thunder and lightening it never rained.

Well my Aunt that has ALS is now on hospice. Went out and spent the whole day with her last Thursday.
My brother is in the hospital he was on a ventilator for about a week. But he is off of it now. His oxygen really low. But is better.
My sister will have a bone marrow transplant at the end of this month or the first of next. They feel this will be her best chance. She is doing alright for now. It has been very draining. But I fell alright and just keeping myself thinking good thoughts. Because I have figured out gloom and doom doesn't get me anywhere.

I am trying to catch up with all my sisters on here. And see what everyone is doing.

Its hot chocolate time with a mini reeses cup in the bottom. So right now that is what I
am going to do.YUM!!!
