Morning Winnie, thank you so much for my fall box. I just love that you themed it a fall pumpkin party movie night. The box smell wonderful. Winnie sent me a pumpkin maple custard candle, I wish you all could smell it. Pretty fall napkins I’m ready to put out. A new little flag to hang by the front door ( when it quits raining. Some fall tea and a crochet apple that smell great too. Pumpkin pie dip recipe. And a beautiful large dish towel a d pot holder. I’ll have to take another picture since I unwrapped everything. Thank you so much Winnie for all the goodies.

Farmgirl Hugs & May all your Wishes come true.

Sherry, I am glad you enjoyed your Pumpkin spice goodies! Enjoy your fall movie night soon when you can set out everything, light the candle and watch your choice of a movie. Lately, hubby and I have been watching lots of old movies from TMC channel . The other night we watched the 1951 American in Paris with Gene Kelly. It was wonderful and who doesn't love to watch him sing and dance??

Oh, a wonderful package arrived late last evening at my door!! Sherry thank-you so much for such a delightful box of goodies and your sweet note!! The pumpkin pillow you made is gorgeous and will be perfect in one of my bowls with fall potpourri! Then there is this adorable scrubby dishcloth with a truck carrying pumpkins, a Apple smelling counter cleaner that I already tried out, a very cute pumpkin recipe card holder now carrying my Mom's pumpkin bread recipe, a lovely bar of shea soap in this adorable birthday box for my July birthday, and a bag of yummy Werther's caramels, which are always delicious! Thank-you Sherry for such a thoughtful and fun fall swap!! I am also very happy to hear that you are feeling much, much better now.

I want to share my package from Julie with all of you! I had so much fun opening it! She made a reversible table mat, fall on one side and Christmas on the other; an autumn towel; pumpkin soap; maple coffee; apple fritter scone mix; apple cider tea; vanilla sugar hand lotion; candy corn and chocolate; fall leaves; and the sweetest little bird! Thank you SO much!
I mailed your box Friday and they said it should be there on Wednesday....fingers crossed!

Denise -

My box of fall goodies was at the PO when we picked up our mail this afternoon. I love what you put together for me. The reversible placemats will go on the table as soon as I clean off all my to-be-organized things - and that will be soon, I hope. I love the Happy Harvest wooden pumpkin, the orange mason-jar-like vase (I can't wait to fill it with flowers), the scented soap, the hand embroidered girl on a n oversized mug rug/mat (it looks to be vintage - where did you find her?), the quilted postcard, the cute Fun Fact about squirrels, and the bag of Brachs Autumn Mix candies. Thank you so much for putting this all together.

Linda,
It's been along time but I think Sherry sent me the postcards. The embroidered piece was backed with a piece of a quilt my grandmother made. I think it had twine to hang it up with? I didn't think about it being used as a mug rug but you could. I had fun making those placemats. Need to make some for myself as when JT saw them he wanted to know who they were for and why don't I make us some. Lol!

Thanks for hosting Julie. I really enjoyed this swap!

I love the embroidered piece. I was thinking of it more as a small quilt wand wasn't sure how to describe it. I love the little girl you embroidered. I want to hang it in my sewing room where I can see it every day. I love old quilts and it looks like it maybe came from a vintage quilt. The placemats are great to decorate for fall. I'll post a picture of them on the table when I get it cleaned off.

Thanks again. This was a great swap.

Linda, yes I consider it a vintage quilt. My great grandmother made it. I thought it was my grandmother but found out it was my mom's grandma. I wasn't born before she died. I still have a lot of that quilt left but it is tattered a bit on the front which I made the inside. I am thinking I will make more things using it. Just haven't decided what yet.

Making things out of that quilt is great idea. I will treasure the piece you sent me.

I have an old grandmother's flower garden quilt that was on my great grandmother's bed for as long as I knew her - year round. It has a piece of fabric as the batting, so is lighter weight. It has a lot of holes in it and is quite dirty, but I've been thinking of cleaning it and making a vest, pillows, or other items out of it.

Thanks! I was thinking of making pillows for relatives, but my sister is a minimalist and doesn't like stuff like that, her daughter might, though. And I doubt my brothers would want one. So - I may just make some and sell them.

I may make some throw pillows for my kids out of some of these I have. Would make nice gifts for Christmas. My daughter made my nephew and son each a bear made from my dad's shirts after he passed on. They really liked them!

Thank You Debbie for the amazing fall package. We certainly had the same ideas didn't we. I love everything and can't wait to try out a few recipes from my new cookbook.
