I just received a scrapbook for the Scattered Prairie Girls from Deb Fisher. She was in our henhouse at one time and is now in the Wildflowers. She had had it and wanted to send it along to us. So far it has 2 pages finished. They had thought at the time that it would be a fun project, making a page about themselves and then passing it along to the next person. She also said that at Mary Jane's Farm they have an Archive Museum where things like this could go if it were finished if we would want that.
What are your thoughts about doing this???

Here is the front cover...it's really cute!

And also a page from someone named Rain Klepper. These are the only 2 pages that are finished.

I remember Rain. This was started but never really got off the ground. I'd be willing to do this but it will have to be after we move because all my stuff is packed for stuff like this.

Sounds like an interesting project. I am not a scrapbooking person, though I'd give it a try. Maybe just send a page to each person to be completed and sent back to you for the scrapbook? That would be a lot cheaper than sending the entire scrapbook from person to person.

This is a neat project and the two pages shown here are very fun and pretty. I have never done scrapbooking and don't have the sorts of pens and other things that make the pages so cute. I am not sure i could make a good enough page but I would love to see what others would create. I didn't know about MaryJanes' Archive Museum, but it is a great idea and I bet there are some wonderful memories stored there. MJF has an abundance of creative Farmgirls!

Linda's idea is great. Or if we have scrapbook paper in the correct size we could just make our page and send it to Debbie. Is this a 12" x 12" book? If it is I have some paper that Had gave me at Christmas.

Debbie, do you have a hole punch?
And if you are ok with that idea...ladies, the paper is actually a bit heavier than printer paper. So if you have a crafty store nearby, like a Michaels or Hobby Lobby...they sell single sheets of 12" x 12" scrapbooking paper. Or ask your neighbors...surely you have someone who has had grandkids. That was when I taught myself to scrapbook.

I think this scrapbook idea may have been started before we started doing the information pages. I have done those in a scrapbook form of sorts.

Morning all, I would be more than happy to help with this project. I have lots of scrapbook things and can help out. Just whatever everyone decides to do. I have some pictures when I first met Julie and some when Julie, Debbie and I first met. Linda I don't know if you and I got a picture together? But it would be fun to get some more pages done for our henhouse. I'm up for it.

The pages in the book are 11 3/4" x 9 7/8" and are bound with a spiral. It looks like Rain decorated her page directly on the paper in the book and Sherry decorated a separate piece and glued it onto the scrapbook page.
Marilyn, I don't have a hole punch myself but I am sure that my mom has one that I could borrow if we needed it.
I am up for whatever you girls want to do! My scrapbooking skills are poor at best, haha! Maybe I can get mom to help me :)

Sherry - I do have a picture of you and I when we met in person, and also of me and Marilyn. Now all I need to do is find them. LOL!

I just think sending it back and forth could really be expensive. I can get a page and decorate it. Rates are up since 2013. LOL!

I talked to Deb Fisher today about the scrapbook. She said that the idea was for each person to do a page or 2 about themselves and then pass it along to the next person. Their goal was for it to go into MJ's Farmgirl Museum. MaryJane has a place where she keeps gifts and other special things that her farmgirls send her. Their goal was to send the completed scrapbook there. The henhouse would be a part of MJane's history and a way for her to get to know them. Also, once one was finished, they could always start another. She's not really sure why they stopped working on it.
I'm thinking that it would take a bit to send it around and around....but how would everyone get to see the completed book?

That is why I think Sherry idea is good. We can make one or two pages each, send them to you, Then you can glue them into the book, take a photo and post it! I have some scortape so I might use that on mine. It is a double stick tape.
Art glitter glue is awesome. I can send you a bit, of you want. It only takes a tiny bit and dries sooo fast.
