Today is the last day of my wonderful retreat in the Sierras -- finally got internet access. No phone though. There are hundreds of squirrels here and they are scurrying around with the thousands of acorns on the ground. There is one poor little guy near my cabin who looks like he was crossed with a possum -- no bushy tail, just a tuft of fur at the end. I hope he has a friend with a nice tail to sped the winter with.
Back home tomorrow to DH, cats and real life. And laundry and tv. |

I haven’t seen a squirrel in years!
We don’t have any here, we have opossums, cute little ones!
Your little animal sounds interesting, did you get a picture?

| I agree, Winnie!! It’s a beautiful saying. I’ve been picking up a leaf here or there the last few days. I guess maybe I need to research the best way to flatten and dry them. :) |

Ours have dried so quickly due to no rain that I can't get any to press.
There are flurries in the forecast for us tonight. |

Some of the trees around here. The one I posted last Saturday has lost almost all its leaves already. With last night's frost I'm sure they will all be turning and falling. This picture was a few days ago.

| I noticed as I was driving to my daughter's to stay with the kids after school today that some of our trees are already bare. It is to be in the 20s tonight with a wintry mix falling. Had to bring in my mums so didn't get a picture of my porch decorated yet. This weekend us supposed to be nice again so hopefully I'll get one then. |
