That will be an amazing way to display your badges, Laura!

Karen - I got your e-mail and I think the button badge is a great way to celebrate the jubilee!!!

Laura - what a neat idea! I was wondering what to do with them. That sounds like a fun idea. I got the same tea towel yesterday in the mail! It's so beautiful.

I didn't get the email yet from Karen, but hope to get it soon!

I was wondering if we sponsor Farmerettes if that would count towards our 100 badges? I had a group here last Saturday, of three girls, and we earned two levels of our Icing the Cake badges - so that's 6 badges.

Joyce - lets come up with something special for them. We'll definitely keep tack of them but let's see what we can come up with for them instead of counting them in our goal of 100.

Way to go team! Already down 5... That's amazing. I am planning to apply for some this weekend when I hop on the computer to send card swap emails. I want to make sure I help contribute. I am also working on a couple other ones.

Does anyone else help any Farmerettes?

Way to go Joyce - don't forget to post here when you're approved so we can count them. Do you just have the 3 farmerettes or are there others?

I earned the beginner UFO badge. I have a couple more to apply for when I get time - hopefully this weekend. Time is just flying buy for me right now!!

I will post when I receive them, thanks Heather!

Right now I just have the three farmerettes. Hopefully more in the future - but three to start.

I just received three more badges - Path to Zero Waste - beginner, intermediate and expert level. I'm working on the Living Zero Waste right now, but I imagine that will take me another week or so to finish.

I have a question - I never embroidered any of the badges I've earned so far. I feel overwhelmed at the thought and don't know how to start. What kind of material. How should I display it. How do I print it and put the pattern on my material? I was wondering if anyone has a tutorial on how they did it? Also, do you know how to go about getting all the patterns from previous badges you earned if you didn't save them? I have about 60 earned so far. I didn't realize it was so many. I would love to get some encouragement and help in getting my badges embroidered. Thank you!!

Question for those of you doing this. I have 4 badges. Yikes they are from quite awhile back. I can't remember how many of the items from the list of things for each level do we need to do in order to apply for the badges? I mean if there is more than one do we have to do them all or just one in order to apply for that level?

Way to go Joyce!! I'll add your 9 badges to the count. I'm sorry I can't be of any help to you with the badges - I haven't done anything with mine yet either. I do know you can reply to one of the e-mails you got and ask them to send you the ones you already earned. I had Brian do that for me in the past. It may take a little bit to hear back - I don't think Brian is there any longer.

Denise - You can apply for each level as you do it. Sometimes it's easy to get all three levels done fairly close together and some of them specifically say they have to be done the next year.

Awesome Karen!!

I also earned 6 badges this week! I'll have to get my list and let you know which ones they were later.

Keep up the great work everyone :)

I apparently earned my beginner relaxation badge on February 4th according to the forum thread. But I never received an email with my links to my certificate and badge. Has anyone else had this issue and who would I message about that these days?

Denise - you do everything under beginner, then apply for that badge. Then you move on to intermediate, complete all the tasks and apply for that badge. Does that make sense?

Hannah, I believe you can just email the farm at the generic email and they will make sure to get it where it needs to go.

Thanks Joyce. From that way it is written in some of them it sounded like you could choose.

Heather,

I applied for 4 badges.

I'm not sure I know what you mean by some saying they have to be done the next year. I applied for the quilting badge. Those say a time frame of so many hours. I did a couple of them the last few years but never applied. Hope they still allow me to get them for that.

Wonder how long it takes for them to get through the applications for the badges? It's been so long for me I can't remember.

Denise - I think they do the badges every weekend - unless something is going on. I'm not 100% sure without looking which badge it was but I'm thinking there's a Christmas one that says it has to be a different calendar year. Maybe one of the gardening ones...I'd have to look again to be sure. I know that you can change things up a bit - like read a different book or for one I used the skid loader instead of the car to learn to change oil and check fluids. It's a bit flexible and I'm sure your projects from last year will be approved :)

Joyce - No one else has mentioned any farmerettes - do you want to talk with your girls the next time you meet and set some goals? I don't want to add any stress to this for you - I have no idea how often you meet or how much time you're planning to commit to them so I don't want to just pull a number out of a hat. And if you'd rather not keep track of them here that's fine too. Just let me know.
