Hi Heather!! I received official word on my badges. I earned 3 badges. If you need the exact ones, let me know. And I will post. :) If you are just counting here, then I won’t worry about it. :)

Hey Heather! I emailed and received word back on my Beginner Relaxation badge. Although it was approved, they accidentally forgot to send me my certificate/badge link. Abigail sent it to me this afternoon, so if you have not already counted that badge for me, I think it would be safe to do so now! :)

Denise, when I was working on them like crazy I could really get obsessed with them! I liked having a personal motivation to try a new project. It livens up the day:)

Karen - you don't have to list them here if you don't want to.

Hannah - I noticed on the main forum you earned the relaxation one by using a guided meditation. If you liked it there's also a meditation badge!

Denise - glad you're feeling motivated! I was hoping to motivate myself by doing this so I'm glad it's working for others as well.

Does anyone know how long it takes for them to email the badges? I know the send a certificate for each one but I was thinking the send a file of tge badge to print off. I have the place in my old book to mark which one I apply for and when I receive it. Handy and v elps me jeep track. They didn't put those in the badge notebook they sell.

I just applied for my first Merit Badge, it’s so exciting. I applied for Outpost-FarmGirls Best Friend, I sure hope they approve it.
Onto my next one!

I used to be concerned about getting all the the badge requirements “just right”. I would lay awake and plan out what I wanted to say….after awhile my brain would be full and I’d have to get some applied for ! Don’t be afraid to ask any questions at the farm office, if something isn’t clear or if maybe you have your own little interpretation you might want to try. They are open to creativity! That’s what it’s really all about, learning new things and sharing new things and having a sense of community.

Thank you Debbie for the insight and information. I have been so nervous about applying for badges thinking I would do them wrong, then what if I do not get the badges I applied for, that will really bother me. So all I can do is try, then we will see what happens.
I have applied for number2 now on to 3. I also was not making anytime to apply for them as it takes time. So today I am making time.!

I would honestly be shocked if someone’s badge application was rejected!!! It does take a little time to sit down and type through the process but it gets easier. Some are quick and easy and others take more effort. I always felt a sense of accomplishment when I would get a few done. But you do have to do them in order! I learned that one!

Debbie F. I thought I was the only one who had not applied for a badge.

Debbie K. , when you say in order, you mean starting with beginner, of any badge you choose correct?
Can I start with any badge I choose in the book? Or if you pick a chapter, do you have to apply for the badges in the order of that category? I’m probably overthinking this process.

Wanda Sue, I just finished applying for my third badge and it gets easier.
I am going to let the Farmgirls like Debbie K. and Heather answer your questions as they have been at this longer. Both Wildflowers are a wealth of information.

Wanda you can choose any section and any badge in that section but you have to start with the beginner badge and then intermediate and then expert level in that order. Hope this makes sense for you.

Yes, Denise is spot on! Start any chapter that interests you! Say you picked crocheting. You would do the beginner level first and then apply. I wish I could remember which one I got ahead of myself on but I had the requirements done for the intermediate level before the beginner. Had to finish and apply for the beginner first . Haha. I tell you, you just get excited!

I applied for all three of my quilting levels one right after the other. Today and tomorrow I am at home which is a nice change not to be busy or have to run somewhere so I am going to look over more of the badges, do some planning and organizing to get more done.

Hi Heather,
It is official, Mary Jane posted my badges in January. I can add 3 to your count.

I have a question for you gals that have done more than one level. When you embroider your badge do you add a border the same as the first border and just go a little ways out and is it done broke line like the first one. Curious how everyone does them. I just found two certificates I didn't know I had from when I was doing the badges before. LOL I have to get myself organized or I will be applying for badge levels I already have! LOL

I did that once! Oops! Haha. I think you can embroider any kind of little line design around the badge, make it personal! One line is the beginner level, add a second for your intermediate level, etc.
